What Makes A Good Photo

We know you have plenty of images to choose from. Let's make sure you pick a portrait photo that will stand out.

The image you provide as a reference is important. It will determine the quality of the final portrait and will help ensure a speedy turnaround. Let's review the following tips and guidelines to make sure the image you submit will be a great fit:

  • Choose a photo that is taken in daylight or a brightly lit room.

  • Use a smartphone or high quality camera. Please no blurry images.

  • Avoid overly filtered photos that may make it difficult to capture your pet's coloring.

  • Ensure the whole face and neck are visible and not covered by shadows.

  • Ask your pet to sit pretty. Make sure your pet is looking directly at the camera at eye level, facing forward.

  • Only include accessories if you want them in the final portrait. Collars, leashes, harnesses, bows, and other outfits will be illustrated in the final portrait if they are visible in the photo submitted.
